What is the Peak of Fitness Challenge?
Starting May 27 and running through August 30, the Peak of Fitness Challenge allows DAC members to collect points for their activity and get rewards. We know you are already working so hard to achieve your goals, and we hope that this challenge will not only be fun, but also encouraging.
So what’s the prize, you ask? In addition to pushing yourself and getting in shape, there will be a men’s and women’s prize, courtesy of Graham Brothers Jewelers!
How does it work?
By recording your exercises you can earn points. There will also be opportunities for bonus points throughout the challenge.
100 points = $10 DAC Cash
200 points = $20 DAC Cash
300 points = $50 DAC Cash + T-shirt
You can only get points for activity done within the Downtown Athletic Club. This includes cardio, group fitness, personal training, spa sessions and more! That’s right, you can even get points for getting a massage!
- For every 30 minutes spent doing cardio activity (e.g. treadmill, cycling, elliptical, rower); playing active sports, such as basketball and racquetball; and doing resistance training (e.g. weights and TRX) you will receive 1 point.
- 30 minutes of massage therapy equals 1 point, and 60 minutes of massage therapy equals 2 points.
- Group fitness classes that are 30 minutes and longer, and personal training sessions lasting at least 30 minutes, will earn you three points.
All points must be recorded and submitted by Sunday, August 31 at 6 p.m.
The DAC reserves the right to correct any miscalculations in points. Current point standings will be updated weekly. You must be a DAC member to participate. Off-site activity is not eligible for points.
How do I sign up for Peak of Fitness?
There will be a table in the lobby of the Downtown Athletic Club where you can sign up for Peak of Fitness. Please let the DAC staff know if you have any questions or concerns, and we will be happy to answer or address them.
We hope you will join us on our road to the Peak of Fitness!
